Hello Parents;
I want to start off by thanking you for making our International Night such a huge success! If you weren't able to make it this year, I would really encourage you to go next year! This week the children will be working on their Valentine Bags and looking forward to our Valentines Day Party on Friday. Thank you to those of you who signed up to bring snack. Just a reminder, have the children write their name only on the Valentines they pass out and leave the envelope blank. If your child would like to bring a small treat to put in their friends goodie bags they are welcome. There are 30 children in class.

Please be on the look out for a note I will be sending home regarding coins for Breast Cancer Research during Lent and our "Pink Jar".

Reminder...no school February 16th - 20th for Winter break!

God Bless,
Miss C.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

No, my New Years Resolution is NOT to blog once a week, but I'll really try to shoot for once a month!

January is a golden month for learning. The children seem to "get it" all of a sudden. Although we go over colors, shapes, numbers and letters every day during school, you are your children's primary teacher. Learning begins at home. Please take time to work with your children every day. If time is limited, make a game of it on your way to school and have them find letters, numbers, shapes and colors on storefronts, street signs or just about everywhere! Some of your children are ready for Kindergarten, some are well on their way and others are struggling. It is so important that your child have a successful Kindergarten year. Of course we want them to be challenged, but they need to be ready to accept that challenge. If your child is finding preschool difficult, whether it's academically, socially or emotionally, there is absolutely no shame for them to stay in preschool another year, age permitting. Many children have done so and were ready to take on Kindergarten the following year, no problem.

I am so thankful that school is starting again Monday, I am way more than ready to go back. One week was fine, but two is too long for me to be away from your children. I miss them very much!

God Bless,

Miss Colcleasure

I'm so excited that we are back at school! Welcome to all our new families and welcome back to our returning families. I must admit that blogging is something I have never done before, so please be patient with me. I'll add more later, so please come back!
