Dear Families;
Thank you for attending our open house today! We had a great turnout and I'm so glad you were able to see all of the children's hard work. Many of you asked not only how your children are doing socially, but academically as well. Starting tomorrow I will begin assessing the children to better see where we need to focus our attention. When these are complete, and please be patient with me as we have a lot of students, I will be conducting parent/teacher conferences and you will be able to see exactly where your child stands. As always, if you have any questions or concerns in the mean time, I am always available. Thank you so much for all your donations, they help our classroom stay healthy, clean and fun!
God bless,
Miss Colcleasure

Hi Families and welcome to the 2009/2010 school year at Our Lady of Mercy Preschool! The first week of school is already behind us and the children are beginning to understand our routine. We have a big class and a lot of help with my new aides, Mrs. Oliver and Mrs. Bernard, welcome to them! Thank you for all of the tissues and wipes that you have donated, we will go through them quickly. I would like to take this time to inform all of you that we have four children who have peanut allergies in our class. They very from mild in some children to very severe in others. The things we need to look out for are anything with peanuts in them, peanut butter or even anything with peanut oil or things that are processed in the same plant as peanuts. If your child brings anything to school that contains peanuts, they will have to go into another classroom to eat them. I would very much appreciate it if you could inform me if your child has any peanut products in their lunches or has had any peanut products for breakfast. This may seem extreme, but the health and well being of these children with the allergies is of the utmost importance. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.
Once again, I welcome all of you and know that together we will guide your children in their academics, social skills and in strengthening their faith to the best of our ability. It is very important that we work as a team with our parents as you are your children's primary teacher. My door is always open and you can find me at school from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
God bless you all
